The Swiss soprano Fabienne Skarpetowski received her Master's degree with highest honours in voice teaching from the Zurich University of the Arts with Prof. Martin Bruns. Apart from this, she also obtained an additional degree in Church Music and Choir Conducting. In summer 2016 she further finished her Master in Performance at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève with the Swiss alto Jeanne Roth.
She is currently working with the Austrian soprano Sandra Trattnigg.

The young soprano participated in Lieder classes by Hartmut Höll, Edward Rushton and Daniel Fueter and takes part in numerous master classes. Amongst others with Daniel Ferro , Patricia Petitbon, Felicity Lott, Luisa Castellani und Marijana Mijanovic. She received further musical impulses in baroque music, Chansons/Schlager and Jazz from different teachers.

Skarpetowski gained numerous stage experiences in Opera- / Operetta- and Musicalproductions in Switzerland and abroad. Amongst others: Antonio in "Richard Coeur de Lion" from A. Grétry, Béatrix in "Les Bavards" by J. Offenbach, Mme de Sainte Hermione in "Moniseur Choufleuri restera chez lui le..." by J. Offenbach, the roles of Barbara and Gundalena in the world premiere of G-F. Leuenbergers "Le Ruisseau Noir", Anne Frank in the mono-opera „Tagebuch der Anne Frank“ by G. Frid, Mercédés in G. Bizets „Carmen“ and only recently as Adele in the Swiss first performance of „Die Männer sind Mal so“ by W. Kollo with the Operettenbühne Burgäschi. Particularly worthy of note are her performances as Leoena in J. Offenbachs „La Belle Hélène“ at the Grand Théâtre de Genève.

In 2017 she was able to show her versatility and flexibility regarding her singing and acting in the Musical production "This is Christmas" in Zurich, where she studied and performed four different roles (Among them two leading roles and two secondary roles).

In addition to her activities as a soloist, Fabienne Skarpetowski is very dedicated to chamber music. In 2017 she founded the Lied-Duo SKALUK with the Pianist and Violonist Johanna Kulke. They're developing a repertoire of varied genres.

The singer lives in the canton of Berne, is a vocal coach at the music school Bipperamt/BE and rsaw/SO and works as a choirmaster. Since 2015 with the VivaVoce Choir Langendorf (http://www.chor-vivavoce.ch) and since 2018 with the SongTrain Oberdorf (https://www.songtrain.ch).

Skarpetowski received the Hirschmann award of autumn 2012 and the Friedl-Wald award 2015.
